Common questions
- What does Questhold cost?
- It's free for one person. A one-time in-app purchase lets a parent create a shared household and add family members. Joining someone else's household is free.
- What do I need?
- An iPhone running iOS 18 or later. To share a household between devices, each device needs to be signed in to iCloud.
- Does my child need their own iPhone or Apple Account?
- No. A child can use a profile on a parent's phone or on a shared family iPad. Children with their own iPhone can join the household too, from an invitation sent by a parent.
- Changes on one device aren't showing on another.
- Check that both devices are online and signed in to iCloud, and that iCloud is turned on for Questhold in the iPhone's Settings. Then open Questhold on both devices. If the household owner's iCloud storage is full, new changes can't be saved until some space is freed.
- Can you recover my household if I lose it?
- No. Your household's information is kept in your iCloud, not by us, so we have no copy to restore.
- Where is my information kept?
- On your devices and in the household owner's iCloud. See the Questhold privacy policy.
Delete your data
- Delete the whole household (household owner): in Questhold, open Settings, then Household, then Delete household. This removes it from your iCloud and from every member's device.
- Remove one member (a parent): open Settings, then Household, choose the member and select Remove. Their progress and history are deleted.
- Remove the app from one device: delete Questhold from that iPhone or iPad. This removes the copy on that device only.
Leave a household
If you joined someone else's household: in Questhold, open Settings, then Household, then Leave household. The household is removed from your devices. The owner keeps the household and can remove your member profile if you ask them to.
